Who We Are
ECOGAS stands for European Council Of General Aviation Support. It brings together association that unite general aviation professional: maintenance workshop, training centers, … Five countries are part of this association: Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, Switzerland, and France. The vocation of ECOGAS is to bring to the European level, mainly with EASA, problems identified resulting from the application of European civil aviation regulations; laws that are too restrictive or too vague. The most interesting thing is that ECOGAS is part of the “Stakeholders Advisory Board” (SAB) which brings together all the players in aeronautics: manufacturers, air traffic controllers, representatives of business aviation, commercial aviation, etc. Three times a year, everyone meets and debates with EASA. Through SAB and its sub-committees, ECOGAS has direct access to EASA and can make voice of General Aviation being heard.
